About My Clients
The majority of my clients are members of the LGBTQIA+, non-monogamous, and/or kink communities. I am particularly passionate about working with gender-related issues and with clients looking for professional support while navigating gender transition.
My Background and Approach
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the primary vehicle for change and growth. I use a client-centered and strength-based approach, which means that I'm committed to creating an environment in which you can feel safe, heard, and understood so that we can work towards your therapy goals. Whether you are wanting to create concrete and measurable goals or are simply aiming to gain insight and personal growth, I will meet you where you are and help you improve your overall well-being. I believe that a healthy self-image, a strong sense of self-worth, a toolbox of healthy coping mechanisms, and healthy relationships are at the root of living a fulfilling life. My work often focuses on increasing self-compassion, mindfulness, and acceptance.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I identify as queer, non-binary, polyamorous, demisexual, kinky, and disabled. Anti-racism is integral to my work as a counselor. I recognize the beauty and value of neurodivergence and validate the adaptive brilliance of all neurotypes, rather than viewing any set of symptoms or adaptations of a person’s mindbody as flawed, disorders/disordered, or in need of fixing.
