About My Clients
I work with adults who want to heal trauma wounds, accept all parts of themselves, have healthier boundaries in relationships, and live life with more intentionality. I provide a safe, structured space where I help people connect with their inner wisdom and learn to become their own ideal caregivers. I also provide "couples" therapy for parents going through divorce or separation who want to have a healthy co-parenting relationship for their children.
My Background and Approach
Often the things we struggle with as adults are survival techniques we needed in childhood. My role is to support you in exploring and accepting all of yourself, healing your wounded parts, and compassionately letting go of things in your life that no longer serve you. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, relational, and integrative. I draw from many theories including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment theory, Feminist theory, Existential theory, and Psychodynamic theory. I tailor my approach to your needs, weaving mindfulness and self-compassion throughout. I have passion and experience in working with queer folks, I promote body neutrality, and I support both polyamory and monogamy. I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from Bastyr University I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State, credential #LH61346001
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that no one is broken, and that we are each our own best healers. I believe that most things in this world are out of our control, and that letting go of controlling outcomes can be one of the most terrifying and freeing gifts we can give ourselves. I believe in trying to understand things as best we can, and having humility for things that are beyond our understanding. I believe that shame and judgement keep us stuck, and that the way out is through compassion and empathy. I believe in making mistakes, taking risks, having challenging conversations, and using privilege to lift up underprivileged groups. I support LGBTQIA2+ rights, fat liberation, and anti-racism.
