About My Clients
I recognize both the bravery and vulnerability that comes with meeting a new therapist, or entering therapy for the first time. My goal is always to provide a safe, comfortable, non-judgmental space for my clients. Validation, strengths-identification, self-empowerment, and humor are consistently present aspects of my therapeutic relationships with clients.
My Background and Approach
I began contributing to the mental health field in 2018, when I began an internship with Georgia Cares: an organization dedicated to children and adolescents throughout the state of Georgia who were victimized by the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC). In the last year of my Master's Degree, I completed my clinical internship at Appalachian Children's Center (ACC) - a child advocacy center in Ellijay, GA - and was hired-on to continue at ACC as a Trauma-Informed Therapist & Forensic Interviewer. We will discuss the cognitive triangle, and learn about the relationships that exist between our thoughts, feelings, and actions. We will identify your strengths and your values. We will talk about ways to let go of maladaptive coping, and find healthy ways to cope instead. We will work as a team to get you living your best life!
