About My Clients
If you are feeling overwhelmed, numb or angry about the state of the world... I can relate. I know what it feels like to be lost in emotional overwhelm, wanting answers and finding none. Depression and anxiety may in truth be an appropriate response to oppressive systems. And, I know how to use and share tools that keep us reaching for hope, joy, love and vitality. There is no unsolvable problem. Not when we search within for the core of our humanity and the actions that fuel our spirit.
My Background and Approach
I received my MA in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in 2019 and completed my graduate training at the Integral Counseling Center at Church Street. I practice trauma-informed, Relational Therapy grounded in mindfulness and Gestalt awareness practice. I work with the Center for Mindful Psychotherapy (an SF-based non-profit), offering both in-person sessions in Pacifica, CA, and telehealth for anyone in California. My approach is gentle while also being direct. I believe in earning trust and my eclectic therapeutic style helps this by meeting my clients where they are, building clear boundaries that allow me to gently guide towards integration, healing and self-awareness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that in all moments, all beings are doing the very best they can. With support, we can increase our awareness of the way we make contact with the world around us. With support, we can increase our ability to notice what our deepest needs and wants are. With support, we can communicate our needs and desires to ourselves, and the world around us. As a relational therapist, I bring a trauma informed approach of steady, compassionate understanding & open curiosity. We learn together, the ways we draw closer to, or away from, a loving connection. With careful attention and listening, I work to support your awareness, sense of aliveness and agency.
