I work primarily with folks who are: neurodivergent (e.g. autistic, ADHD, or other), chronically ill/disabled (particularly with autoimmune illnesses), queer/LGBTQIAA2S, sexual/gender outsiders, fat-identified and/or hoping to develop a more loving relationship with their body, sex workers, poly folks, and those in non-traditional relationship and family structures. If you've ever been told that you're too much, too negative, or too "in your head," let's talk. I welcome you exactly as you are.

I enjoy helping individuals who experience symptoms of anxiety, depression, relationship stressors, life transitions, as well as those who want to overcome various symptoms of trauma. Often people I work with are seeking more peace, empowerment, and healthier relationships with others and with themselves. In this, my aim is to help individuals feel more confident, attuned to themselves, and kinder to parts of themselves, even those that can be hard to accept.
Are you feeling stuck or frustrated by past treatments? Struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or stress? I specialize in helping individuals who haven’t found the right approach to their mental health. Through a compassionate, holistic plan, I’ll work with you to address underlying issues, foster resilience, and create lasting change. Together, we’ll find a path to healing and growth. Let’s take the first step together!
I'm queer and LGBTQIA+ aligned, and many of my clients tend to be as well. I use attachment and trauma informed psych models, and have treated a lot of high-trauma and late diagnosis clients. I'm authentic and direct, and that works very well with people who prefer direct communication and people on the autism and ADHD spectrums.
My clients might suffer from depression and/or anxiety due to trauma they have experienced by being institutionalized (jail, hospital(s), foster care, etc.). My clients will be motivated to make change and may or may not be seeking therapy as part of a mandate and/or court order from criminal court, juvenile dependency, AND/OR Family Court(s) in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am gender and LGBTQA+ affirming AND body-positive leaning.
You’ve survived a complicated childhood or past with minimal or inconsistent support, and remnants of your past influence or take over the present. It’s rare to feel safe / settled enough with others / out in the world. Cycles of heightened stress and shutting down keep you feeling stuck. You’re self-aware (perhaps even knowledgeable about your struggles), but need support taking actionable steps towards deep / lasting transformation and healing. Sound familiar? Specialized help is available!

Hey there! I'm Laura Grossman. I'm a therapist who proudly identifies as queer. My passion lies in helping individuals and couples navigate life's ups and downs, especially those who identify as LGBTQ+, but I work with all sorts of people looking to bring more happiness and confidence into their lives and relationships.
I specialize in supporting adults, especially those from multicultural or immigrant backgrounds, navigating identity, anxiety, self-worth, and the pressure to “have it all figured out.” My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming and a safe space for all races, genders, and sexual orientations. Whether dealing with anxiety, burnout, or family stress, I’m here to help you heal, build self-trust, and create a life that truly reflects who you are. Let's work toward clarity and confidence together.
I am passionate about providing a space for people to be celebrated for being their authentic selves. I honor and respect the strategies clients have learned that support them in coping and surviving. Together, we can develop more awareness of how these coping strategies and patterns serve you, and when it is supportive, work to find new ways of relating with yourself and others.
I work with adults, teens, couples, and polycules. I have in-depth knowledge of the LGBTQIA2-S+ communities, neurodiversion, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, trauma, life transitions, grief, gender exploration/affirmation, health at every size, kink, and relationship anarchy/polyamory/open relationships.

I tend to attract clients who are experiencing anxious thoughts and rumination, cycles of addiction, or codependent relationships. These struggles are often ways we seek to meet our needs for comfort, connection, or stability, even if they don't always provide the lasting fulfillment we're looking for. It’s natural to seek comfort and connection in ways that feel familiar, and with understanding and support, we can uncover other ways to tend to those parts of you that long to be seen and met.
Healing from trauma, anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to face it alone. I create a brave, supportive space to help you heal and grow. We’ll work together to process trauma, soothe anxiety, lift depression, and improve relationships, allowing you to reconnect with yourself and those who matter most. Together, we’ll untangle feelings of stuckness or pain in a way that leads to relief, clarity, and more fulfilling connections in your life.
My clients tend to be badass, kind, and maybe not know it! They are, or aspiring to be: generational cycle breakers, healing attachment wounds, or seeking alignment with one's values. Are you curious about building insight or ways to self/collectively care? Perhaps we're a fit if you're seeking a therapist who believes and works from a feminist liberation approach, has experience working towards building healthy familial dynamics, and integrates a whole-person & holistic approach to care.
You find yourself wondering how it is possible to be in a relationship and feel so alone. No matter how hard you try to connect with your partner, the two of you just seem to keep missing each other. You miss the fun the two of you used to have, you miss the times when the two of you used to talk so easily. Working with a trained couples therapist can help you to get back on track with your relationship. It is possible to heal, grow and have fulfilling relationships.
Are you stressed about eating or thinking about food too much? I provide therapy for teens and adults across the full spectrum of disordered eating. Difficulties with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma and/or life transitions can be related to trouble with eating and body image. I work to understand how these experiences interact for each individual, tailoring therapy to fit their unique needs and strengths. My approach is weight-inclusive and queer-affirming.

I help people who feel anxiety and stress in relationships to feel less anxious. I know that the worry, frustration and confusion that we feel with those we care most about can feel overwhelming and can make thriving or just getting through the day much more difficult. It can also lead to unhelpful patterns with ourselves and others. Anxiety in relationships can be a real burden and I don't want you to suffer. Together we will work to get your satisfaction in relationships back.
