I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ individuals, who face unique stressors resulting from the biases ingrained in our culture. I also focus on men’s mental health issues, as men can be less likely to seek support due to difficulty expressing their emotions and outdated ideas about masculinity. My clients are often experiencing depression, anxiety, complex trauma, ADHD, relationship issues, family conflict, self-esteem challenges, life changes, social anxiety, and religious trauma.

I work with individuals and couples/partners who feel anxious or disconnected and who are often seeking help navigating the impact of previous trauma on current relationship concerns, particularly around identity, sexuality, intimacy, marginalization, and nontraditional partnerships. I support clients in increasing connection and shifting imbalances in their relationships with compassion and accountability rather than blame.
My clients often come in feeling anxious, burned out, wanting to explore childhood events that affected them, or wanting to learn how to relate to others and to themselves in more positive ways. I provide mindful, collaborative, and playful therapy to adults, parents of children of all ages, and adolescent girls (8+). I enjoy working with adults who care for others (parents, caregivers, and people in caring professions), and have a background as a school counselor (I love teens!).
Do you feel like your partner has become your roommate and the spark is gone? My ideal clients are those seeking to restore emotional and physical intimacy, address issues related to sexual difficulties, and enhance their overall relationship satisfaction. Some have just been lifestyle bombed , the love of their life seeming to say they’re not enough. Others, having taken the leap can’t seem to stop fighting. Feeling isolated, scared, tired, and like they're going to lose everything. Take a moment to imagine your life as it could be in a few months. You are in love, all over again. With your partner(s), yourself, and how you live. Accepted for who you are, allowed to love in a way that feels natural, you are excited in your new life.
Early experiences influence the way we act and engage in the world. Without time to reflect we can get stuck in habits and patterns that are meant to protect us but prevent us from true connection with others and the present. Together we will identify root causes of the behaviors and repeated actions that no longer serve you. We will practice being vulnerable. Clients who are serious about making changes while maintaining a sense of humor when needed will do well in this practice together.

Through our work together we can help release stuck patterns and increase understanding. I specialize in complex trauma treatment, behavior change, maladaptive coping strategies, anxiety, and depression. I believe in looking at the whole self through a lens of kindness and self-compassion. We will examine and break down the roots of why you're not feeling fully satisfied with your life and we'll partner together to move towards healing and strength in both a comfortable and challenging manner.
I view my clients as the experts of their own lives, experience(s), and self. I believe we each carry the "answer(s)" we need most within, but are not always taught how to get there or how to tune in with ourselves. During our time together, you will be given an opportunity to explore and "be with" yourself in potentially deeper and new ways. I believe the exploration of self is interwoven with the unfolding of our life.
You came here because you have a desire to deepen your relationship with yourself and others, you feel stuck in patterns you hope to change, are processing trauma, or are looking to reclaim lost parts of yourself. You have come to the right place. Working with adults with childhood trauma/complex trauma, couples/relational systems, chronic pain/illness, and queer/trans/non-binary individuals and relationships, I work collaboratively with clients to create spaces for care, depth, and connection.
Between and within humans, multiple perspectives exist, and what is discovered depends on how observing happens. This understanding has led to my intense compassion for human suffering, and delight in the unique paths forged. It is possible to ultimately drop attachments contributing to suffering, in order to experience the innately loving conscious beings we are. Here the focus is less on "right and wrong" and more on the wise discernment of what ACTUALLY contributes to suffering.
My ideal clients are interested in exploring their relationship with drugs, alcohol, and/or sexual behavior. Wherever you are in the change process, we'll work together to develop insight, set achievable goals. My clients are motivated to live life to their fullest potential, and I'm proud to support them in exploring some of the maladaptive coping tools that have gotten in the way. Looking forward to chatting with you!
