Depression is a mental health disorder that affects mood, including how you feel, think, and behave. Everyone feels sad sometimes, but when it starts to affect your ability to perform daily tasks and your ability to enjoy things that typically bring you happiness, you may be suffering from depression. The symptoms of depression vary from person to person, but often include feeling miserable without a clear reason why, anxiety, agitation, insomnia or sleeping too much, hopelessness, changes in eating, and/or foggy thinking. Depression may also cause recurrent thoughts of death or suicide (or even a wish that it would all 'stop' in an abstract sense). If you think you might be suffering from depression, a qualified mental health therapist can help. Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s depression experts today!
I work with people tending to their relationship with themselves, their identities, past experiences, current life, or what comes next. Those moving through life transitions (internal or otherwise) exploring ways of being with others, communities, or in this current world. I work with folks who have often felt “different" or been called “too sensitive.” I believe in those I work with and am excited for what you will create for yourself.

I work mostly with individuals in their 20s and 30s who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, navigating interpersonal relationships, and issues around self-esteem and identity crises. Identifying the feelings and experiences in the current moment can be difficult to name, but I am here to help you work through those emotions and discover what they truly mean for you.

My ideal clients are teens and young adults that are ready to get to know themselves better, explore their relationships, attachment styles and understand why they are feeling the way they are. Working with me means we collaboratively create a warm, judgment free space where you feel empowered to express yourself. Getting to know yourself deeper, your attachment patterns, habits, and behaviors can help you understand what you have control over and how to live a more balanced life.

I work with women of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and marginalized communities facing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and identity issues. Together, we create a safe space to build self-compassion, resilience, and self-discovery, helping them heal, grow, and embrace their authentic selves while breaking free from limiting beliefs and societal pressures.

I have a special interest in serving survivors and victims of sexual traumas and abuse. In a culture where victim blaming runs rampant, when we talk and process our experiences the light is able to shine in and we as a society move closer to a world where survivors do not need to live in shame. I am also a trained Doula and love to work with the perinatal and postpartum community. I am especially interested in exploring traumatic birth stories and supporting this healing journey.

Many of the people I work with feel haunted by their past and struggle to connect with people in the present. This can show up in overwhelming anxiety, procrastination, feeling down on themselves, communication and relationship issues. Many have difficulty with sleep and some struggle with the way they drink or use drugs. Our early work usually focuses on skill building and fostering awareness and insight into challenges before doing any more in-depth work.

Whether it is trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD, identity issues, ADHD, relationship problems, or anything in between that you are currently struggling with, it would be my pleasure to guide and help you through it. It may be a challenge sometimes to find a therapist who can meet your needs, which is why, in my opinion, the first and most important goal to accomplish together is a strong rapport.

I work with adolescents, adults, and couples. Individuals that I work generally report concerns around relationships, depression, anxiety, complex trauma, and low self-esteem. Through several years of psychodynamic training and extensive time in the consultation room, I have learned how to understand the relationships of my patients -- individuals and couples alike -- by being *in* relationship with my patients, in a safe, contained, and exploratory setting.

Oftentimes, people who contact me are managing feelings that have been building up over time. I have niche experience working with medical professionals such as physicians, nurses and medical trainees and directed a program at UNMC aimed at understanding burnout. I enjoy working with college and graduate students, international students, and did this at counseling centers like MIT. I especially like working with adults and new parents.

Life can be demanding, frustrating, and tiring. Life can also be unique, experiential, and beautiful. Whether you are healing from abuse or a traumatic experience, struggling with feeling anxious or depressed, or moving through a life transition, it is important to allow ourselves the space to acknowledge both realities of life can be true. Together, we will create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore all aspects of yourself with compassion, curiosity, and authenticity.

I also work with people who may be struggling with loss of social support, depression or anxiety that seems unmanageable, or a general feeling of "stuckness."
