What’s underneath it all still hasn’t been dealt with, though you want to. You hold the healing that IOP and Inpatient offered, longing to break the cycle you know too well: Inpatient, IOP, back to the community. You remember the groups, use the TIPP skills, and it helps you ride the tidal wave. You’re split though, there’s part of you ready to tackle it headstrong, and another part of you is sweating it like the iced coffee that waters down at your desk. And you are terrified you can’t keep up.
At Quintessential Health, we serve a wide range of individuals from young children to adults. We often individual therapy, group counseling, couples counseling, and assessment/testing services. As caregivers and supporters, women hold many titles, carry the weight of many responsibilities, and often leave themselves out of the equations. I specialize in helping women redefine their boundaries, process traumas and life transitions, and develop and strengthen their coping skills. Clients who work with me are often managing chronic illnesses, particularly breast cancer, coping with trauma, have difficulty regulating self-harming and suicidal behaviors, and navigating life transitions.
I work best with clients who come with an open mind. Whether children, adolescents, or adults, I help them assess their current situation and identify the changes they want to make. By understanding their goals and working backward, we create realistic, meaningful treatment plans to clarify their desires and chart a path toward achieving them.
