About My Clients
I am well-versed in working with minority populations, Asian, South Asian, and anyone who identifies as multi-racial/ethnic. Additionally, I have extensive experience in supporting immigrants, children of immigrants, international students, marginalized populations to overcome challenges and become more resilient.
My Background and Approach
I use a combination of strengths-based therapy, CBT, and DBT to help clients with anxiety, depression, PTSD, race-related trauma and personal development. I teach a wide range of stress management, emotion regulation and other skills, so that clients can feel empowered and can reach their goals and achieve overall wellness. I am a graduate of Columbia University’s multicultural counseling program and also a MBTI Certified counselor and served as a career counselor and Wellness Director at Columbia University for 10 years prior to launching a mental health practice.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My mission as a therapist is to create a world where emotional healing is accessible to everyone. I am here to support clients who are marginalized or experiencing difficulties in their life, but never found a safe space to heal or could not find an empathetic therapist. As a bi-ethnic immigrant and a woman of color, I know that having a trusting support system is key to a fulfilling life. I also know how important it is for you to find an empathic therapist who can create a warm and safe environment. I am here to offer you a place of healing and compassion. I look forward to beginning this journey with you!
