Depression is a mental health disorder that affects mood, including how you feel, think, and behave. Everyone feels sad sometimes, but when it starts to affect your ability to perform daily tasks and your ability to enjoy things that typically bring you happiness, you may be suffering from depression. The symptoms of depression vary from person to person, but often include feeling miserable without a clear reason why, anxiety, agitation, insomnia or sleeping too much, hopelessness, changes in eating, and/or foggy thinking. Depression may also cause recurrent thoughts of death or suicide (or even a wish that it would all 'stop' in an abstract sense). My clients are people who are on a journey to understand themselves and their environments more clearly. I specialize in working with: people who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, who identify as neurodivergent, who are living with chronic conditions, are experiencing life transitions, and those who experience symptoms from depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. I also enjoy having conversations with clients about exploring gender identity and deconstructing from systems.

I love working with passionate people who are ready to take their life up a notch. My ideal clients have an inkling in their heart of where they want to be, but may feel stuck where they are. Maybe they are in a dead end job or relationship right now, and feel like they have to lose weight or stop drinking before they can participate in life again. Maybe they are getting a spiritual upgrade through tremendous loss or despair. Maybe they just need someone to talk to that really cares.
I work with patients that span the age range from 6 to 100. Beyond medication management, I use a blend of therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (for anxiety and depression), Exposure Response Prevention (for OCD), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (for Trauma) and Solution-Focused Therapy (for immediate improvement and better outcomes).
