Just like any other group, the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) community faces mental health issues and unique challenges. However, LGBTQ individuals are almost 3 times more likely than others to experience a mental health condition, such as depression or anxiety. Additionally, more than half of individuals who identify as transgender experience depression or anxiety. The LGBTQ community is also at a higher risk for suicide. Young people are even more at risk, as they may experience a lack of support at home and fear, hatred or prejudice in school. If you are a member of the LGBTQ community and are facing mental health challenges, you don’t have to suffer in silence. Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s LGBTQ experts and get help today.

As a therapist with a deep commitment to working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, I understand the profound impact that abuse and neglect can have on one's ability to express their needs and emotions. Many who have experiences trauma face additional challenges, especially when cultural expectations, societal norms, and personal histories complicate self-expression. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your emotions and begin the healing process.

Change is always hard but often necessary and attainable with the appropriate guidance and tools. My clients come from all backgrounds and statuses, but what they do have in common is pain and a goal and hope of overcoming it. I work best with clients who are motivated, curious, and seek therapy on their own so they are ready to apply themselves outside of therapy.

I work with individuals and relationships (couples, polycules, adult family members). I specialize in working with LGBTQIA2S+ people. I am passionate about working with folks whose life experiences challenge mainstream norms and are deemed unconventional. Many of my clients are sensitive people with extrasensory awarenesses and spiritual and/or religious practices. My client's are brave cycle breakers, and I love supporting them as they embrace their whole selves.
