About My Clients
I believe in tailoring my approach to each unique client I work with. My treatment philosophy is holistic, considering all the factors that affect my clients' well-being. I often incorporate a variety of therapeutic methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness techniques. My approach tends to be semi-structured with inclusion of homework assignments to help as guides in our sessions.
My Background and Approach
From a young age, I've always been drawn to helping people. This passion led me to pursue a career in psychology, and I eventually specialized in substance abuse and mental health counseling. My personal experiences with mental health challenges in my family and circle of friends have deepened my empathy and sharpened my listening skills. I view my role as a compassionate guide, dedicated to supporting my clients as they strive to achieve their goals.
