About My Clients
I work with adults who are looking for change. Perhaps the change is a desire to heal from difficult experiences. Perhaps the change is a desire for a better quality of life with more personal fulfillment, energy, and engagement. Perhaps it’s difficult to know what the change may be, but there’s a clear desire for more support due to feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or fearful. I try to create a safe space to explore and be curious about how change could be helpful.
My Background and Approach
I’m an integrative therapist with training in multiple evidence based therapies (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy). Starting with the formation of goals, I work collaboratively to help my clients determine what life may look like if they were to achieve their goals. Gradually, through work during session and in-between session (with practice, homework, intention), clients share their experiences about what is helpful and unhelpful. Through the formation and maintenance of a therapeutic relationship, the practice of engaging in therapy can be healing. It’s a process of accepting ones whole self, a commitment to working on change, and the patience to be kind through the process.
