About My Clients
My goal is to get you from surviving to thriving. Whether you're struggling with trauma, with your relationship, or with simply navigating the curveballs adulting throws your way, together we will work to learn to fall back in love with everyday life.
My Background and Approach
I am a New Yorker turned Texan after receiving my bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland’s School of Public Health in psychology and family science. Moving to DFW, I found myself working in TMS therapy in psychiatric offices as part of a whole treatment team using a comprehensive care approach. My passion for helping others and love for learning motivated my continual studies to pursue a master’s degree. I received my social work master’s degree from the University of Texas where I got to intern at an inpatient psychiatric hospital in their military unit and at Title 1 elementary schools providing case management with Americorps. Post grad, I have been working as a telehealth trauma therapist with Mental Pain and Trauma Center.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that you already have the power to build a life you love. All you need is a little knowledge, a little insight, and a cheerleader in your corner to add a different perspective. When asked how social work differs from psychology, I think of it as psychology understanding whether a glass is half full or half empty; social work is understanding the glass is refillable and what systematic barriers prevent it from being filled. We social workers live at the intersection of all the identities that make you who you are.
