It can be overwhelming to begin therapy, especially if you've never done it before. Sometimes, it is that first step that can be the toughest one. Often clients will say "I wish I had started a long time ago". Everyone works on their own timeline and the moment you feel ready, is the right time for you. It's never too late to begin.
My Background and Approach
I enjoy helping and encouraging clients to realize their true potential through therapy. I aim to offer a warm and comfortable atmosphere that allows for authentic expression for each individual client. I was adopted from Colombia and have personal experience with interracial adoption which helps inform my practice on this subject. I use a person-centered and strength-based approach to help improve my client's quality of life. I have experience with trauma, substance use, LGBTQIA+, adoption, grief, anxiety, life changes, and caring for aging loved ones.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the inherent dignity and worth of all people. I believe that people deserve respect, equal rights, and equal privileges, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender, race, ethnicity, ability, faith, and age.
