About My Clients
I work with adult BIPOC professionals and creatives in California struggling with fears, sadness, low self-esteem, unresolved emotional pain from past experiences, and discouragement that has caused lack of confidence in who they are, insecurities about their passions and talents, low motivation for tasks they wish they had the energy to complete, and despairing hopelessness for their future due to pains of the past and present.
My Background and Approach
In my online sessions, I offer a space to hear the story of what brought you to a place of out-of-control despair, process your painful and troubling thoughts, feelings and experiences using evidenced-based therapeutic methods, and guide you to seeing how it's possible to overcome those difficult hurdles that get in the way of you living a meaningful life full of self-acceptance, hope, and the courage to connect back to and pursue the things that bring you joy, even in the midst of life's difficulties. My website has way more in-depth information on my practice and the services I offer, and how I strongly believe I can help you - as well as to connect with me so we can get to know each other through by scheduling a free 15-minutes phone consultation, to see if I may be a good fit for your needs: https://www.brianagonzalezlcsw.com/ I look forward to hearing how I can help support your needs, if any of the above resonates with you!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a clinical who identifies as bi/multiracial, I am especially passionate about working with individuals who also have experienced difficulties in living in comfort and security within their multiethnic identity, which has lead them to difficulties with professional and personal pursuits that they desire. I am also especially passionate about working with individuals of various ethnicities who have experienced racial trauma, whether that's individually, generationally, or even in specific settings that were once forms of comfort (i.e. in spiritual settings where their racial identity was dismissed, disregarded, disrespected or spiritually weaponized).
