Exploring your gender identity, sexuality, or if you’re “queer enough” to be part of the LGBTQ community can feel overwhelming. Maybe you're in the process of deconstructing Christianity and feel alone without the community you once had. Maybe you’re curious about ethical non-monogamy but don’t know where to start. You deserve a non-judgmental space to explore the parts of you that feel contradictory or taboo.
My Background and Approach
I commit to welcoming and valuing your experiences in this life - from the stories that reveal your humor and vulnerability to the parts that have been rejected, unappreciated, or shamed. My goal for you is to have a variety of coping skills and tools to use when you feel triggered, anxious, or overwhelmed in a situation. I am direct and will guide you to listen to what your body is telling you at any given time through somatic exercises. By addressing the "here and now" or in the moment, we will work to listen to what our minds, bodies, and emotions are saying as we find solutions that will work for you. I provide trauma-informed, sex-positive therapy for LGBTQ and ethically non-monogamous communities and for those who are healing from religious trauma. Together we will discover more of who you are, help you feel a sense of connection in relationship(s), and find the courage to take the next step when you feel comfortable.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every single one of us deserves the space to explore who we are, what we want, and find resilience within ourselves. As I continue my own personal work as a client, I recognize the value in sitting with our most authentic selves and a therapist who can offer this space. I now work to create a non-judgmental space for clients to find empowerment in their sex lives, explore relationship constructs, and curiously approach their gender identity and/or sexual orientation. I believe in the power of community and change. I do not tolerate discrimination and rather push for inclusion at every level. I am actively involved in the local LGBTQ community, equine therapy, and others who are deconstructing from Christianity.
