I have worked with a wide range of LGBTQ+ issues, including coming out, gender dysphoria and gender identity exploration, family of origin conflict, and decisions about gender affirming treatment and care. I am a proud member of what one of my clients named the Alphabet Army and am happy to provide a safe place to be your authentic self.

Anxiety is a natural and useful human experience- after all, we wouldn't have survived as a species without it! However, it can also really get in the way of living your best life. My work with anxiety involves recognizing what's underneath- what's driving your brain's efforts to protect you- and working with those thoughts, behaviors and feelings to transform them into something that's helpful rather than harmful.

Abuse -verbal, emotional, physical, or sexual- alters the way that we think about ourselves and the world around us. EMDR is a powerful, effective therapy that allows us to face these beliefs and fears that get us stuck in the past, and allows us to process the abuse and live our lives in the present. Facing the past is scary, but you don't have to do it alone.

EMDR is a trauma focused therapy that frees the brain to go where it needs to heal from the past and cope with the present and the future.

CBT has been the evidence based practice for anxiety, depression, and many other issues for a long time. It's so effective in identifying the beliefs and behaviors that are holding you back, and providing the tools to meet life's challenges as they arise.
