My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is client-oriented with an emphasis on relationships and identifying the strengths and solutions clients are already using. I believe that consistency, authenticity, hope, and patience are elements I bring to serving individuals, youth and their families. I come from a systems-based perspective, which uses a wide lens to consider the influences of the relationships we have with ourselves, our families, the agencies we are involved with, and the culture around us. It is important to me that those who choose to work with me feel safe, seen, and supported. Ultimately, I believe that you are the expert on yourself and that my role is to help facilitate your path towards healing or growth. By building a relationship based on empathy and safety, we can seek ways to better utilize your strengths to get you closer to the more meaningful life you desire. You will always be the expert of your life story.
