My Background and Approach
Working with Essence at Aura Art Space PLLC, you can expect to make art every single session. We have a structure to support intention setting, creative flow, and reflection to help individuals (pre-teens, teens, young adults, and older adults) process their art making experience. You can expect to utilize art making as a mindfulness tool, as well as to develop a coping skill rooted in self-expression. Art therapy is a sector in the mental health profession that taps in to processes to support self-discovery and healing. Here at Aura Art Space we focus on creative accountability to support clients in connecting with their personal values and goals. Art therapy is the main intervention used to address mental health symptoms. You do not need to be considered an artist to engage with creativity and art making. If you are open to it, art can be a huge support to your wellbeing.
