About My Clients
As an individual and family therapist, I strive to create a safe and judgment-free space for you, where being vulnerable to telling your story will feel safe and welcoming. I work to create a strong therapeutic bond using an authentic and empathetic person-first approach while working to understand intuitive eating, anxiety, depression, and other recurrent feelings preventing you from living the best life you can.
My Background and Approach
My goal is to provide you with strategies to use outside of the therapeutic environment to create a feeling of peace and calm in your daily routines all while assisting you in identifying activators in your life to be proactive when handling distressing situations. My intention is to support you in expanding your emotional "tool kit." I am experienced in trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. My therapeutic approach focuses on regaining control of your life and addressing the underlying causes of distress. I completed my Bachelor's and Master of Social Work at Florida Atlantic University. I began my career as a certified school guidance counselor and behavioral specialist working with at-risk youth and special needs populations.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe you author your life story. My goal is to lead you, as the creator of your story, to re-author your narrative through empowerment and self-discovery. We will work together to equip you with the coping skills to overcome pasts traumas, and current challenges as well as unhealthy learned behaviors. I do not discriminate against anyone and make it a point to advocate for LGBTQIA and women's rights. My clients include guys, gals, and non-binary pals!
