About My Clients
Our work is grounded in trauma-sensitive mindfulness, body-centered healing, and neuropsychology. Human bodies are designed with default neural processes in order to react to change, and just like anything, issues can arise along the way. Issues such as difficulty establishing boundaries, inability to regulate emotions such as fear or anxiety, or even an inability to feel safe when speaking your truth. Together, we will evaluate and gain a deeper understanding of your relationship to change.
My Background and Approach
With an academic background rooted in understanding how human behavior is affected by various environments and systems, I am committed to supporting others as they tend to their relationship with themselves, others around them, and their environment. Our collective goal is to cultivate a deeper sense of wholeness and awareness of self to embody lightness as we move throughout life and our work together. How this happens is 100% client-centered and based on the emotional stage of the individual.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My greatest joy is to have the opportunity to support those who choose to heal and re-embody their physical, emotional, and mental self. As a queer person who grew up in the rural American South, I feel immense joy to hold space for others who were harmed by homophobia, religion, and/or multigenerational trauma. I also love supporting other helping professionals. This work can be a bit like dancing with fire, so I am happy to support others learning to dance with compassion, empathy, and caring for others. When not in-session I like to be outside hiking or playing with my best friend Dewayne (Border Collie/Great Pyrenees Mix photoed above). Very much an advocate for nature-based and animal assisted therapies! In order to meet you wherever you’re at, I take a mixed-methods approach that is always evidence-based. I provide LGBTQIA+ friendly services and welcomes all individuals. If you want to learn more about how I can help, shoot me a message.
