About My Clients
Have you found yourself withholding your true thoughts & feelings from the people around you in order to “keep the peace?” Do you feel like a prisoner inside your own head, asking yourself, "am I doing this right?” I totally get how exhausting it is to over-think & second-guess yourself.. in an endless cycle of analyzing your decisions. You've been trying so hard to get things "right," and I don't want you to feel alone with this anymore. Together, we'll clear a path toward clarity and relief.
My Background and Approach
As your therapist, I will walk beside you on your unique journey and I will help you facilitate a new relationship with yourself and with others. Relationships that feel true, right, and good to you. I’ll help you get out of your head and start living life again. I do this by helping you to slow down and unpack the complexities of what you are going through. We’ll make space for all the unique parts of you that show up in our sessions. As you come to understand and accept yourself at a deeper level, you can begin to feel more in tune with the direction of your life, making clearer decisions that feel right to you, and enjoy more satisfying relationships.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am LGBTQIA-affirming, body and sex positive, anti-racist, and feminist in both my therapeutic approach and personal value system. I treat this work as a true passion and vocation. From a young age, I knew I wanted to become a psychotherapist because I care incredibly deeply about human beings and the human condition. As a Highly Sensitive Person, I've always felt more tuned-in to the subtle details of life that the majority of people seem to naturally overlook. And as a fellow human, I struggle with things too. I’ve gone through highs and lows in life and know how dark the lows can feel at times. Part of being human is recognizing when we need help from others. I believe it’s a sign of your inner strength that you’re searching for a therapist right now. I am non-judgmental and non-pathologizing. You are not "broken" and there isn’t anything "wrong" with who you are. Despite the very real pain and suffering you are grappling with, you have an innate capacity to heal from within.
