You’re constantly juggling the demands of your job, your family, and your inner turmoil. You feel overwhelmed and exhausted. You’re often caught in a cycle of people-pleasing, which leaves you feeling unappreciated and frustrated when others don’t reciprocate the kindness you offer. You struggle with feelings of loneliness and helplessness, and interpersonal conflicts only add to your stress, leaving you feeling unworthy and unsupported. Hi, I’m Jiayue Yang. I’m here to help.
My Background and Approach
With a background from the Syracuse University and experience with helping people maintain peace and calmness under high stress. I’m here to help by: -Validating your experiences, helping you understand that your feelings are valid and manageable. -Identifying the supports and skills you have for tough times, and coaching you with new skills when needed. -Exploring how you want your life to be, how you want to feel, and what are some steps that you can take to gradually get there. -Helping you see and celebrate your successes and positives, not just focusing on the “problems.” -Empowering you to feel capable of dealing with difficult situations and emotions. -Identifying and challenging negative assumptions about self and relationships, and exploring more helpful perspectives. -Teaching you how to set healthy boundaries, make space for yourself, and not lose yourself in relationships. -Assisting you in developing a deeper understanding and compassion for yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I became a therapist because I am passionate about helping people find ease and peace in their lives. I believe that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and emotionally cared for. Coming to the States for school all by myself as a young adult, I understand how heart-warming it can be when someone sees and understands your loneliness and sorrow when you feel lost. With empathy and compassion, I strive to make people feel more comfortable and secure with themselves and others. I also enjoy helping individuals connect the dots in their lives and develop a deeper understanding of themselves.
