About My Clients

Life can be stressful, challenging, and overwhelming at times. You may be feeling stuck, uncertain, or burnt out and deeply desire change, but are struggling to make the change you want to experience. You may be in a transition point in your life, and are unsure of what to do or how to claim your power. You may have experienced discrimination, microaggressions, racism, and systemic or gendered oppression. I would be honored to help you discover, or rediscover, grounding and presence.

My Background and Approach

I specialize in childhood and intergenerational trauma, life transitions, helping you get unstuck, and facilitating the growth, connection, and engagement in life that you want to experience. My style is open, warm, and empowering, and I bring curiosity and empathy to our work together. I am honored to embark on this healing journey with you. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bushnell University, and am a Nationally Certified Counselor with the National Board for Certified Counselors. I am a Professional Counselor Associate with the State of Oregon (#R8778), and am supervised by Tever Nickerson, NCC, LPC. In my practice I follow the Code of Ethics established by the American Counseling Association, and the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. I currently serve on the board of the Oregon Counseling Association.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Prior to pursuing my counseling career, I worked in both administrative and direct care roles within non-profit and educational settings. I'm a parent and a partner. I thrive by moving my body in nature, and am a three-time marathoner. The presence of my first therapist was healing and inspiring at a critical point in my life. I had never before sat with someone so tuned in and attentive, who saw me, who was able to pull out the important questions, and who remembered my stories and patiently walked along with me to the other side. It is my desire to create a unique space of processing, healing, and growth for you, similar to those that have been provided for me. I utilize an integrative, anti-racist, and trauma-informed approach in my work, drawing from Person-Centered, Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory, Mindfulness, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Somatic, and Mindful Self-Compassion techniques in my practice.
