About My Clients
I have experience working with almost all experiences and diagnosed disorders. I enjoy working with people over the age of twelve who are exploring their gender identity, their sexuality, their familial and social relationships, and day-to-day stressors. I like working with families and provide family and sibling therapy. I am trained in EMDR and TF-CBT and work with folx who are in a position to process their trauma.
My Background and Approach
I strongly identify with the ethics and values of the social work profession and am delighted to provide therapy to folx in our communities. I think of myself as a champion, and a cheerleader, for my clients' successes. Client's seek services for a multitude of reasons and I believe people deserve unconditional positive regard, empathetic understanding, and someone who is actively listening throughout the process; I am team YOU all the time. - - My therapeutic style includes techniques from different modalities with the intention of identifying and reaching tangible goals; gaining clarity; learning emotional awareness, expression, and regulation; and reprocessing trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in being a life-long learner. I complete continuing education credits; read books; listen to Ted Talks and podcasts; participate in supervision and consultation groups; and engage in our community. As your therapist, I will provide a secure, nonjudgmental space where you, the expert in your life, are able to show up as you are and receive the care you deserve. I am an informal, skill-based clinician. I believe in showing up as my authentic self and meeting clients where they are. Welcome to therapy. I'm glad you're here.
