About My Clients
I believe therapy to be a collaborative process in order to create an opportunity for clients to heal. In this collaborative process, I strive to provide a safe and non- judgmental environment for clients to experience insight, growth, and change within their healing journey. I provide therapy to individuals who have experienced domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, and stalking.
My Background and Approach
I hold Master of Social Work (MSW) from Portland State University. As a graduate student, I completed a concentration in advanced clinical social work practice. The concentration provided me with advanced training in theoretical models that are grounded in strength-based, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive perspectives that I am able to utilize in my practice with individuals. I integrate several modalities into my practice, which includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma – Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF- CBT), Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), Family Systems Therapy (FST), Structural Family Therapy (SFT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT).
