The world can be a scary place, and I hope to provide you with a safe space to express your emotions. My goal is for you to feel validated and heard, no matter what your presenting concerns may be. I am an LGBTQIA ally and welcome people from all walks of life and backgrounds to work toward your therapy goals. I believe that we can always learn new things from other people, and I would be honored to walk along with you in this journey of self-discovery and growth.
My Background and Approach
I treat each client as the unique individual you are, and I approach my counseling methods the same way by using a holistic approach to fit the needs of my clients and encourage growth. Counseling isn’t one-size-fits-all and I make sure to personalize your treatment to best serve your needs. I strive to provide a warm and collaborative environment to help my clients increase their self-awareness and understanding of the world.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I want my clients to know that they have someone who understands what it feels like to be on the other side of the couch. I've personally been in therapy and know how daunting it can be to reach out for treatment. But know that that is the hardest part, so you have already made a huge leap toward your future! When I’m not providing therapy, I love reading, taking care of my plants, or cuddling with my two cats. I’m passionate about equality and advocacy, especially for people with intellectual disabilities and for women’s rights. Everyone deserves to be treated the same way and it’s sad we are so advanced in many other ways, but so behind in our beliefs.
