The tension of managing stress, anxiety, sense of purpose and social connection is this context is daunting and can feel insurmountable. But hopefully in your heart you know there is a way. My Background and Approach
My experience includes helping clients with emotional and social stressors associated with chronic disease management including HIV/AIDS, diabetes and heart disease, those coping with life changes, aging and unresolved grief and substance use disorder. Additionally my practice includes supporting professionals around issues of compassion fatigue, burnout mitigation and recovery and managing stress related to work and professional development. My approach to counseling is collaborative and both embraces where you are at while also gentle challenges toward growth and desired change. I utilize methods from Relational-Cultural and Narrative Therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My goal is to always create a dynamic counseling space that will center the work that emerges through dialogue and reflection.
