About My Clients
If you are seeking help with trauma effects, struggles with food, your body, or anything in between, there are options other than what we have been taught. Our culture and our world often create an environment for people that encourages self denial. A wide variety of traumas often leave people with chronic feelings of fear, trouble with sleep, relationship distress, and dependence on something that might harm them.
My Background and Approach
My experience in therapy includes group practice and residential level of care for adults with eating disorders. Since I have worked with such diverse clients, I have learned experientially that no one way of therapy works for everyone. I use a highly relational and creative approach to helping my clients create their most fulfilling life. My specialties include treating eating disorders, religious trauma, and many depression/anxiety issues.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Some of my core values and beliefs that guide therapy are love and autonomy. I deeply believe in each individual's right and need to build a life that uniquely fulfills them to the best of their ability in this world. I am an active member of the LGBTQI+ community and believe that seeking more equity in our person lives and in my work is a part of our healing, no matter how you identify on any spectrum of identity.
