About My Clients
I have experience working with individuals and couples dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, HSP, relationship problems, LGBTQ+, and identity issues. I am passionate about neurodiversity and individuals who want to learn to manage their emotions in a healthy and productive way.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) with experience working with adults. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. I have the training and clinical experience working with individuals and couples dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, grief, relationship problems, LGBTQ+, and identity issues. My goal is to help individuals navigate life difficulties and improve their relational and coping skills. In my work, I provide psychoeducation and utilize evidence-based techniques and strategies.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people can change if they genuinely want to and that no obstacle can be greater than one's determination to pursue personal goals and dreams. Yet, change is hard. It takes time, patience, repeated failure, and perseverance to change old habits, negative ways of thinking, and maladaptive lifestyles. Change takes both courage to step on the path of self-discovery and curiosity to explore the yet unknown parts of yourself. I believe that a path to greater self-awareness is the ultimate path to emotional and mental freedom. Anyone can choose to walk this path and commit to self-improvement, but not everyone may feel compelled to. Nevertheless, it is a matter of personal choice rather than ability.
