About My Clients

Have you experienced a traumatic event and you can't stop thinking about it? Is the current administration getting to you? I utilize creative and holistic methods to help women and queer folx deal with trauma, anxiety, depression, and chronic health conditions. Maybe like many of my clients, you are neurodivergent and would appreciate some extra support in navigating this neurotypical world. I'm here to help identify your goals and support you in taking steps to achieve them.

My Background and Approach

You do not need to be ashamed of your feelings or symptoms. Im here to provide you with a safe, nonjudgmental place to process stressors and learn skills to help you live your best life. I will never force you to talk about something you don't want to, but I can handle anything you tell me. I have over 10 years of experience working with those who have experienced trauma or are dealing with anxiety, stress, or depression. I believe therapy should treat the whole person. I like to use creative methods, but I am trained in traditional methods as well (CBT & CPT). We will address what is going on in your brain and how to deal with it! I will teach you strategies to deal with and decrease your symptoms. We will work together to develop a treatment plan that will best serve your needs and help you live the life that you want to live by having healthy relationships, finding meaning, and experiencing joy.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that there are many ways for us to become healthy. Counseling is one of those ways but I am passionate about helping my clients identify others methods as well. I believe everyone can and should participate in creative activities. If you are willing to explore this avenue it can be very rewarding for you. I used art when recovering from physical health issues when I was in the Army, so I know firsthand how powerful it can be. I think we should do our bet to take care of the planet. Caring for the planet and spending time in nature can be healing as well. This is why I believe in the power of Horticulture Therapy. I believe a lot of our mental health issues come from society's (and/or our culture's) beliefs and expectations. I am passionate about social justice and I am actively learning in order to best support those impacted by systemic inequities. I want to be your coconspirator.
