About My Clients
Are you struggling with your relationship with food and your body, caught in a cycle of restricting, binging, and purging? Or perhaps struggling with underlying anxiety or depression? Sometimes, we can cope well enough with our existing support systems and our own internal tools. Other times, we need support in order to heal. I believe we each have the innate capacity resilience, and my goal is to help you access your own resilience in the healing process. Recovery is absolutely possible.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in treating folks with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and relationship issues. From working in eating disorder treatment, I have extensive experience working with clients struggling with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, ARFID, and general disordered eating. I work primarily from a psychodynamic perspective, while also integrating a humanistic approach. I received my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies in 2021. Prior to Bay Psychology Group, I worked for A Better Way, a nonprofit community-based organization, providing therapy to youth and families, many of whom were involved in the child welfare and/or foster care systems. Previously, I gained experience at Cielo House, a residential treatment center for clients struggling with eating disorders. While there, I provided individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy to treat adults with eating disorders.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Many of us experience mental health challenges at some point in our lives. My goal is to help you harness your own strength in the process of healing from whatever you might be struggling with. As a queer woman, I am also passionate about working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
