About My Clients
I am specialized in working with older adults, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as military veterans and their families. I am comfortable working with adults of all ages who present with depression, trauma, anxiety and a history of childhood chaos/abuse/neglect. The work we do together is based in evidence based modalities where we identify barriers to you living your ideal life, learn skills to improve coping and clarify your goals.
My Background and Approach
I am a Clinical Social Worker and received my Master's from the University of Southern California. During my Master's program I specialized in Clinical Social work with an emphasis in Military Families and Veterans. After receiving my Masters, I received a Post-Graduate certificate in Gerontology from the University of Northern Colorado. It is my approach to meet my clients where they are, with unconditional support and positive regard. I deeply appreciate and respect the vulnerability that happens in therapy and feel privileged to work with my clients. I enjoy using a blend of talk therapy, mindfulness exercises and education about mental health symptoms. My goal is to help clients build their coping skills and self-compassion through our work together.
