About My Clients
One theme in all the clients (both couples and singles) I see is this feeling of being stuck and looking for ways to move forward. Being stuck usually means you're ready to change but you're not sure how, or the ways you used to find joy, pleasure or direction just aren't working anymore. If you're a nerd, a geek, LGBTQIA+, poly, ace, kink-exploring, experiencing late-in-life coming out or just don't feel like you fit in somewhere...come sit with me.
My Background and Approach
My first question to you will always be "So...what's going on?" and from there we'll explore what's happening now, how you learned to make decisions, how to love, how to care for yourself and others, and once we do that, figure out which things you want to keep doing and what you might want to leave behind as you move ahead. Mindfulness, self-compassion, a healthy dose of relationship exploration and respectful humor are my tools, and they'll be your tools, too!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I love people. I believe strongly that the more people I meet, the more enriched my own experience is. I believe we're part of an endless interlocking set of systems, from family units all the way up to our place in the universe, and that in that system, every shape is valid. I'm an ally to anyone who comes through the door (or the screen) and I understand that the burden to educate on race, sexuality, gender and lifestyle falls on me and never my client.
