About My Clients

I believe you are ultimately the expert of your own life, but there are times when each of us can benefit from extra support. My clients have often experienced traumatic life events and want to start healing, and I specialize in EMDR to support you with trauma symptoms. I also have extensive experience with LGBTQ+ youth, adults, and families, as well as those with HIV. In addition, I work with college students and those who are making career decisions through career assessment and counseling.

My Background and Approach

I have doctoral training and a specialization in integrated health and co-occurring medical and psychological health concerns. I'm a mind-body therapist, and have witnessed the benefits of understand the mind-body connection and the importance of an integrated healthcare team. My approach is eclectic, holistic, non-judgmental, and tailored to meet your unique needs. I'm EMDR trained to support those with trauma symptoms, certified as an integrative mental health professional, and have a Doctor of Behavioral Health.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I'm really passionate about causes that support the LGBTQ+ community, such as GLSEN, Phoenix Pride (before moving to Colorado), one n ten, NOH8 Campaign, Trevor Project, and The Mathew Sheppard Foundation. I've volunteered for drag king performance troupes raising money for community causes, and was nominated for the Aunt Rita's Foundation Heart Award for my service and support to LGBTQ+ youth. I'm also passionate about the HIV community and have participated in numerous AIDS walks and volunteer opportunities to make a difference in the lives of those living with HIV. I'm a lifetime member of the NAACP and have been a member of The Human Rights Campaign since 2002. I also love causes that connect young people to skate/snowboarding or music opportunities. Some of my favorites are the Les Paul foundation and the Burton's Chill Foundation.
