About My Clients
My ideal client is one who is curious about themselves and who is ready and motivated to work toward a better life. I enjoy working with other helping professionals and with those who have experienced trauma. I have always been a natural listener with a heart for genuine empathy and understanding. Life has sent plenty of struggles my way, so I really do get it and know that living can be rough! I am a lifetime learner, an avid reader, and am always excited to learn how to better help others.
My Background and Approach
A strong relationship is essential to effective therapy. I rely on integrative and evidence-based practices and consider it an honor to walk beside those who courageously show up for this journey to growth and healing. Together, we will develop a plan to get you where you want to be. Your sessions will be YOUR sessions where you can be as open and vulnerable as you want to be. I will walk beside you, holding a supportive and compassionate space for you, but I will also challenge and encourage you to do the hard work. Therapy can focus on getting you through current challenges, it can be a process to explore and heal at a deeper level, or it can be a combination of both. My trauma-informed approach is grounded in neuroscience and attachment theory and often integrates eye movement desensitization & reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), mindfulness, body-based interventions, and parts work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We all need help sometimes, yet good help can be hard to find! Healing best happens through connection, empathy, authenticity, and with a good bit of help from science. It may not be easy, but doing the work is worth it!
