Grief and loss are a part of the human condition. Grief is typically considered to be brought on by the death of a loved one, but can also be triggered by any significant life-altering loss (such as a divorce or the loss of a job). Grief is a natural response to loss, but that doesn’t make it easy to deal with. Symptoms of grief may include sadness, loneliness, anger, denial, depression and a myriad of other thoughts and feelings. There is no “normal” amount of time for grief to pass, but if you find that your grief is not improving over time or that it is interfering with your everyday life, you may want to consider seeking professional help. A qualified grief counselor can help you to cope with the physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and cognitive responses to loss. Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s grief experts today.

Many of my clients learned to be independent, responsible, and hardworking at young ages, traits that have helped them be successful at school and work, but have made it difficult to ask for help, set boundaries, rest, and lean into joy. Along with anxiety, clients frequently struggle with guilt, low self-esteem, a need to be perfect, and often have insecure attachment styles in relationships. I also provide family therapy, friendship therapy, and psychological evals for immigration cases.

I helped design & implement 14 hospital and clinic interdisciplinary programs in the last 25 years. These programs helped patients suffering with problems of insomnia, anxiety, depression, stress management, cardiac and G.I. disorders, drug/alcohol dependency problems, and severe chronic pain. In my private practice, I have had the privilege of working with young children, married couples, gay couples, under served inner city city residents, celebrities, executives and everyday working people.
Most of my clients are smart, creative and savvy professionals, and they usually have a pretty good sense of why they're seeking help. It may be due to relationship challenges. It may due to managing ADHD, depression or anxiety. It may be due to managing the pressures of work or of family. What my clients have in common is the desire to work closely on their challenges, and the ability to make a connection with their therapist, in this case, me!
