Grief and loss are a part of the human condition. Grief is typically considered to be brought on by the death of a loved one, but can also be triggered by any significant life-altering loss (such as a divorce or the loss of a job). Grief is a natural response to loss, but that doesn’t make it easy to deal with. Symptoms of grief may include sadness, loneliness, anger, denial, depression and a myriad of other thoughts and feelings. There is no “normal” amount of time for grief to pass, but if you find that your grief is not improving over time or that it is interfering with your everyday life, you may want to consider seeking professional help. A qualified grief counselor can help you to cope with the physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and cognitive responses to loss. Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s grief experts today.

I enjoy working with creatives, spiritual seekers and the spiritually-wounded, those struggling with grief and loss, other therapists, people coping with C-PTSD, and those who simply want to become more of who they are meant to be. My clients tend to be open to approaching therapy more experientially and are interested in doing depth work vs. single-issue work.

Many of my clients come to therapy to process grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, impulse control, gender identity, sexuality, and sexual health.
When your relationship is suffering, you're suffering. Sometimes, incredibly so. Maybe the person you used to feel so close to now seems more like a distant stranger. Maybe a betrayal has left you outraged and alone. Maybe all the fighting and miscommunication makes you wonder at times what you ever saw in your partner at all. My emphases are addressing mental health of marginalized groups, and understanding how culture should be respected and acknowledged in the therapeutic space. As I continue to work on obtaining my doctorate in psychology, my interventions and approach to treatment informs me how to customize the therapeutic space for each client and praise our differences while promoting inner healing. Creating emotional space and showing the power of it helps my clients narrate their lives once more.
