The term cultural and systemic oppression refers to the mistreatment of people of a specific group that is supported and enforced by society and its institutions. It can be formal or implicit, and appears in many forms, including racism and sexism. Oppression of any kind, especially over an extended period of time, can deeply affect your mental health and your sense of self. Working with a therapist who is well-versed in these constructs can help you better recognize when they are influencing your life, and how to better manage that influence. Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s cultural and systemic oppression specialists today.

Anxiety, depression, and couple conflict can be difficult, but I enjoy collaborating with my clients to help them utilize their strengths to meet challenges. I believe everyone has unique skills that can be enhanced with therapy to cope with conflict, stress, anxiety, and depression. I enjoy helping clients work toward increased hope and empowerment.

I work with adults and couples on all kinds of issues and frequently treat issues related to attachment, identity, and trauma (ie intergenerational trauma, racial trauma, ptsd, etc). I often work with clients who have symptoms of ADHD, anxiety, depression, or high stress. I enjoy working with fellow members of the queer community and have a passion for providing an affirming, inclusive space for historically marginalized groups including, but not limited to BIPOC, interracial couples, and women.

Do you have trouble understanding what you’re feeling, or why you’re feeling it? Maybe you often ask “does that make sense?”, unsure whether your thoughts are coming across how you want them to. Or you find that you're really hard on yourself, with a running narrative of “I’m the worst!”. Perhaps you’re scared to get things wrong, and feel unable to trust yourself to know what you want, let alone how to get there. If you relate to this and want to feel less anxious and more at ease, I can help!

I offer compassionate guidance to individuals and couples navigating narratives of self-doubt, perfectionism, and the challenges of overwork and overwhelm. Together, we can overcome rumination, anxiety, and harsh self-criticism. Embracing a mindset free from highlighting imperfections and fears is a transformative journey towards self-discovery. I focus on addressing shame, self-criticism, and trust concerns, tailored especially for those who identify as neurodivergent or anxiety-prone.
I work with adults and adolescents (ages 12 and up) struggling with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, trauma, and relational distress. I also work with members of the LGBTQIA+ population and poly/ENM/kinky folks around gender identity and expression, boundary-setting, and self-acceptance. I am available for both individual and couples counseling, in-person or via telehealth anywhere in the state of Indiana.
