Just like any other group, the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) community faces mental health issues and unique challenges. However, LGBTQ individuals are almost 3 times more likely than others to experience a mental health condition, such as depression or anxiety. Additionally, more than half of individuals who identify as transgender experience depression or anxiety. The LGBTQ community is also at a higher risk for suicide. Young people are even more at risk, as they may experience a lack of support at home and fear, hatred or prejudice in school. If you are a member of the LGBTQ community and are facing mental health challenges, you don’t have to suffer in silence. Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s LGBTQ experts and get help today.

I have had the pleasure of collaborating with people from various walks of life. I have worked extensively with families and individuals of all ages. I have experience with trauma work, LGBTQIA+ issues, body-image, and social justice concerns. I have a background in teaching yoga and often incorporate mindfulness and somatic practices into my work. I am a queer-identifying and queer-affirming therapist.
I have experience working with diverse individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts, anxiety/depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, quarter-life crisis, and life transitions. I have experience working with couples in transitional periods (pre-martial, moving in, new chapters), LGBTQ+/poly, and rebuilding relationships.

My experience includes working with depression, anxiety, racial, cultural, sexual and gender identity issues, family dynamics, interpersonal issues. I worked in a hospital supporting adolescents and young adults with varied challenges in their upbringing. As a therapist, I've assisted immigrant clients in acclimatizing to challenges in the U.S.
My clients tend to be motivated individuals who need some help understanding themselves and their patterns in order to make meaningful changes in their lives. I especially love working with the queer community, people struggling with eating disorders or disordered eating, as well as trauma survivors. I will make space for whatever you bring in, and we will heal from it together using skills, humor, and understanding.
