Ranging from emotional misattunement to outright abuse, these experiences lead to deep-seated (and sometimes unconscious) negative beliefs about oneself and others that precipitate depression, anxiety, unsatisfying careers, disconnected relationships, and difficulty feeling satisfaction and contentment.
