My Background and Approach
Therapy will allow you the place to process your thoughts and feelings. I will provide you with strategies to more effectively cope with your symptoms of anxiety. You will have more confidence in your ability to deal with life’s challenges and the skills necessary to overcome the obstacles that anxiety once presented. I use strength-based approaches that are client-centered and focus on the positives rather than the negatives. As well as, evidenced-based approaches that are empirically proven to be effective. We will work collaboratively to identify and reach your goals. Whether you are new to therapy or are looking to build upon past work, I will meet you where you are and use your experiences and strengths as a guide to move forward. You will develop new coping strategies and expand your skill set. You will begin to recognize that you have agency to transform the way you have been approaching your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy can provide those who are struggling the place to find validation, support, and space to work through present challenges. Life can be hard and difficult. It can at times be unfair and exhausting. I will work to support and guide you through your current and past difficulties to discover your underlying potential. Therapy is a process and one that we can take one step at a time. In time your skills and confidence will begin to grow and your ability to navigate life's difficulties will increase.
