About My Clients
I welcome all members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies who are searching for a safe and welcoming space to heal. Please reach out and schedule a consultation call if you think I can be a support to you.
My Background and Approach
After a successful but personally unfulfilling corporate career, and upon reflection on important relationships in my life that felt one-sided, I started working with a therapist who taught me how to offer myself compassionate curiosity and to become a loving parent to my inner child. This restored connection to myself changed my life in a lot of different ways, and it led me to pursue in-depth graduate training, clinical supervision, continued healing work, and becoming a licensed professional counselor. Now, I enjoy working in a way that's deeply aligned with who I am- supporting others in overcoming difficult childhoods, struggles with mood, identity and personality, anxious or chronically stressful lives, and complex relational trauma. My training and experience with queer and trans clients includes graduate coursework, post-grad clinical experience, continuing education hours, volunteering and community events, clinical supervision, and personally-lived experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I wholeheartedly believe that LGBTQIA+ folks deserve excellent counseling support in spaces where it's safe to bring our full selves to light. Therapy is a place and experience where we can grieve and heal trauma, understand and develop our relationships with loved ones and community, and each create a healthy relationship with ourselves- one where relentless inner critics can transform into wise and compassionate friends. What healing work might you be able to do in a space where you feel safe?
