About My Clients
I am passionate about working with clients going through life transitions, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, substance use issues, post-traumatic stress, and an overall goal of finding clarity and self-discovery.
My Background and Approach
Trained in EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral therapy, I like to interweave evidenced based practices within the recovery process as well as value the importance of the mind, body, and spirit.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe life is the greatest opportunity for growth and learning to navigate challenges. I think that each challenge that is faced, processed, and healed from can deliver a momentum to thrive. Mental health struggles are the result of a high-pressure society, intergenerational trauma, and at times biological. We can learn healthy and unhealthy ways to cope with trying to make sense of it all. I have always believed that empathy, sharing time, and understanding can be the biggest way out of the struggles a lot of us face. I think that since I was young, I looked around at the world and had a goal to be one tiny act of positivity and love despite circumstance. I feel truly honored to have had the privilege of getting a psychology degree from Clark University and a Master of Social Work through UConn and plan to use my training to continue engaging in my community, working with issues that I am passionate about, and hopefully making a difference either large or small.
