About My Clients
An ideal client of mine would be motivated and ready to do the meaningful, rewarding work of self-reflection and growth. Beyond that I find myself drawn to working with professionals from all walks of life, including fellow veterans, women, and LGBTQ+ community members. I also enjoy working with families navigating the complexities of having children on the wide spectrum of neurodiversity, including ADHD, ASD, PDA, and ODD
My Background and Approach
I started my clinical career in residential and inpatient care facilities serving teens and young adults experiencing both mental health crises and chemical dependency. I acquired Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) training and the skill set to navigate clients through crisis, self-harm, and suicidality safely and with compassion. I continue to use the tenants of Emotional Regulation, Distress Tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Mindfulness in my practice to support clients in building their individual "tool box" of coping strategies. After transitioning to Couples and Family Therapy Center I received training in psychodynamic and attachment based therapies via the Pivotal Center. An attachment based approach allows me to support you or your loved one in navigating relationship patterns and building access to internal emotional growth and healing. I am also an Accelerated Resolution Therapy clinician trained for stress, trauma, and PTSD, see (https://cftc-online.com/emdr)
