About My Clients
My goal is to provide a space for you to be you. We can learn here - about why it's so hard to enforce rules with your kids or how that comment from your partner could hurt so much. When you feel lost in your roles - mom/dad, friend, partner, sibling, child - I can help you find your way back to your Self. I currently serve adults only - all genders, with focus on identity, spirituality and relationship issues.
My Background and Approach
As a parent myself, I know how difficult it can be to teach your kids something you don't know so well yourself! This could be so many things - emotional regulation, boundaries or self care come to mind. Learning these in childhood didn't happen for all of us, but that doesn't mean we can't learn now. I earned my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling while parenting 3 kids - really putting my skills to the test! Using principles from CBT, IFS, mindfulness and art therapy, I guide clients through an exploration of their thoughts, emotions and relationships. I am trained in EMDR therapy, which can help address self worth, hypervigilance, identity issues and so much more caused by trauma. I want to help put a mirror up for my clients, to help them see how our time in the therapy room is reflective of the rest of their lives. Going to therapy is a commitment to yourself and your family, and I want to honor your dedication by offering accountability, empathy and space to learn.
