About My Clients
I really enjoy working with young adults, college students, and/or queer folks who are wrestling with questions about identity, encountering difficulties in your relationships, navigating a transition, and/ or feeling overwhelmed by depression or anxiety. My hope is to support my clients tune into themselves in a new, deeper way and feel more secure in their relationship with themselves and those around them.
My Background and Approach
I approach therapy with empathy, active listening, and genuine curiosity. My aim is to assist you in deepening your self-awareness, build confidence, and help move towards the changes you want in your life. In our therapy sessions, it is my hope to collaboratively build a space where you can be your most authentic self. I prioritize recognizing and honoring the unique intersections of your identities and experiences while helping you gain new tools and skills that work for you. I don't believe that therapy is one-size-fits-all. I enjoy utilizing a variety of modalities including Internal Family Systems Theory, Attachment-based therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and more. I come from a humanistic perspective and believe that you have all the tools you need to be a healthy, thriving person. Sometimes we just need a little support!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Like so many of us, I have personally really benefitted from therapy. Having a space carved out to pay attention to your innermost self is brave and healing. I'm always so honored when someone invites me into their personal growth journey. I am a queer person and know how impactful it can be to have a therapist who shares that identity and can connect to that broad, beautiful experience in a special way. I am also a dog lover and caregiver to my 10-year-old pup, Ivy. When I'm not working you can find me out for long walks, eating ice cream, or working on a sewing project.
