About My Clients
My passion lies in working with women, particularly those facing the demands of navigating high expectations and perfectionism in a productivity driven world. I will help you sift through all of the noise to determine what actually matters to you, which may involve slowing down, listening to your body, and finding inner peace. I begin every therapeutic relationship by helping you determine your values - the things that are most important to YOU!
My Background and Approach
I bring 7 years of experience as a therapist, and have treated eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and PTSD at the residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the single most important factor in achieving success in therapy, and I will ensure that you feel supported, and that we are aligned in achieving your goals. I use an eclectic therapy approach that is person centered, trauma informed, and values based. I am a certified yoga teacher, and use body based approaches to aid in connecting deeper with your body. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, you may just need some guidance to help you live your best life. We'll work on getting "unhooked" for thoughts, feelings, and urges that are keeping you stuck so we can make space for a better reality.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life is challenging, and you shouldn't have to go it alone. I will aid you in navigating barriers to help you build self-awareness and self-compassion. I use a warm, yet direct approach. Together, we will defuse from unhelpful thoughts and behavior patterns, identify your strengths, and increase your sense self-worth for an improved outlook on life. I am affirming and supportive of all people regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or abilities. Therapy with me will always be a safe space for you to come as you are, no matter who you are.
