About My Clients

I have worked with children, adolescents and adults, including LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC populations who struggle with ADHD, Anxiety, Complex Trauma, Childhood Trauma, Depression, Identify and Gender transitioning, Life-stage transitions, Self-Harm and Suicidality. I have a deep appreciation for a diversity of lifestyles, presentations, and expressions of self.

My Background and Approach

I believe deeply in the process of healing and growth that can happen in a therapeutic relationship. My work involves guiding clients through grounding and calming practices that allow for deeper exploration of difficult habits, patterns, and stories that may be getting in the way of living a full and healthy life. I rely on an integration of relational, psychodynamic psychotherapy and breath and body-oriented practices including breathwork, mindfulness meditation, and yoga. I've completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at the Bhakti Yoga Shala in Santa Monica, CA, and have been a practitioner of insight meditation since 2006. In addition, I have completed training in Psychedelic Integration with Fluence8, and offer consultation and integration work in this emerging field. I have been greatly influenced by Attachment theory and neuroscience and am encouraged by evidence that emphasizes the potential for change in our neuropsychological makeup.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Throughout my life, I have lived as an explorer and seeker, in both the external and internal worlds we inhabit. I have always been interested in honest expression and authenticity, as well as health and wellness. I have immersed myself in other cultures and explored the privilege and history of my own. I am an anti-racist, anti-oppressive therapist who seeks to support change through self-education, protest and allyship. I believe in the need for healthy relationships, first with ourselves, then with our community and the environment. Finding a place of health and balance will be different for each individual, with its unique obstacles and opportunities. Get to know me and let's find out together if we are a good fit for a therapeutic relationship.
